3 of May is the World Press Freedom Day. From a youth perspective, we want to celebrate the right of young citizens to be informed, to show their voice, and to evidence their citizenship, their opinions and fights, challenging ageism and condescending discourses towards young citizens’ civic activity.
Freedom of expression is not guaranteed in every corner of the world. This is a good opportunity to reflect on the challenges and threats to freedom of the press and expression and their relation with democracy.
We look forward to receiving your contributions and here are a few hints that might pick up your interest: hate speech, polarisation, algorithms, echo chambers, disinformation, attacks on journalism and artificial intelligence.
Are you ready? The challenge is set. Join us! Send your contribution by 31 May. And remember: YouNDigital can contain news with sounds, videos and other images, hyperlinks and text. Use your creativity!
Now you can go to our homepage and start publish here.
